WP1
Exascale enabling
This is a transversal work package that focuses on evaluating performance bottlenecks and improving the efficiency of the HPC codes proposed in the vertical WPs.
The objectives of the WP 1 Project management are:
- To port and optimize at node level the codes proposed for each vertical WP, paying particular attention to arithmetic intensity, massive parallelism and memory utilization for current and disruptive exascale architectures.
- To exploit communication efficiency, parallel I/O capabilities and mitigate load balancing issues that may affect the overall performance of exascale codes at cluster level.
- To provide a quality assessment of performance measurements at both architectural and cluster level to guarantee scalability and energy efficient computations of selected algorithms and simulators from vertical work packages.
