Almost 150 people attend the ENERXICO webinar series about wind energy, oil&gas and combustion for transportation
04 August 2021

Within the framework of ENERXICO a webinar series was organised with 3 webinars about the main research areas of the project: wind energy, oil&gas and combustion for transportation.

The webinars took place in April, June and July and had different experts in the field from important companies and institutions such as Iberdrola, DNV GL, Siemens Gamesa, Technical University of Denmark, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, UNAM, Repsol, Université Grenoble Alpes, CMT Motores Térmicos (UPV), Argonne National Laboratory, MAN Energy Solutions, FPt Motorenforschung and  Politecnico di Torino.

The three events comprised a first section with three key note speakers who presented results in the different topics and then there was a roundtable discussion focusing on the importance and future of the application of the technologies presented as well as challenges and opportunities in the different areas.

To summarise the main conclusions of the webinars, several news were published on the ENERXICO website:

News about the first webinar “Meso-microscale coupling for wind resource assessment in complex terrain: a critical discussion from the modelling, HPC and industrial point of view”

News about the second webinar “Subsurface exploration with HPC”

News about the third webinar “Towards high-fidelity simulations of renewable fuels at relevant conditions of IC engines: challenges and opportunities”
