CARLA 2020

The Latin America High Performance Computing Conference (CARLA) is the flagship conference in the region that brings Latin American researchers together to exchange and disseminate new ideas, techniques, and research in HPC and its areas of applications. This year´s event took place virtually on 2-4 September 2020.

ENERXICO partner Isidoro Gitler, a full professor and researcher at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV), participated in CARLA 2020 by serving in the Board Committee as a Workshop Chair. He also presented in a workshop collocated with CARLA 2020 called the 3rd Workshop on HPC Collaboration between Europe and Latin America. His talk, titled “The European - Mexican Project ENERXICO: Supercomputing and Energy for Mexico”, took place on 11 September 2020 at 9:40 am. His presentation focused on the technical collaboration of Mexico and the European Union through the ENERXICO project.

“Since CARLA is one of the most important HPC conferences in the region, I felt that it was a good opportunity to talk about ENERXICO and let the HPC community know what we are doing and how we are helping the energy sector,” said Gitler.
